From the moment I stepped into Bamboo Spa, I was struck by the atmosphere of elegant tranquillity. This truly is a sanctuary for the senses. The smell of aromatherapy throughout the spa provides a soothing sensation for the mind. From water trickling down along the entranceway to the spa to the bamboo décor throughout, there is a calming ambience of healing and relaxation. It feels like you are in a different world, one where time stands still.
When I browsed through the spa menu, I was impressed by the extensive range of offerings suited for both men and women. And all of the treatments use thoughtfully selected L’OCCITANE products for all of our body care and beauty needs.
I decided to experience the unique Bamboo Therapy. My therapist escorted me to one of the spacious treatment rooms. There was not only a double treatment bed but also a huge sofa shaped like a traditional bale bengong for relaxing, and a bathtub big enough for two.
Using a citrus bamboo polish the therapist first exfoliated my body. After a quick shower to wash away all the dead skin cells, I slipped into a warm bath. And then I had the most relaxing and exotic massage ever with the use of Balinese bamboo sticks. The massage incorporates bamboo stalks of varying lengths and diameters to provide deep-tissue work. Bamboo Spa has mastered a special sequence that promotes circulation, sensory nerve perception and lymphatic drainage, resulting in a deep sense of relaxation and well-being.
