Canggu weekend market at Old Man’s is a showcase for the many talented individuals, locals and expats, selling their handmade products.
On the Island of the Gods, where the main attractions are leisure and relaxation, you can find yourself sitting on the beach, gazing out at the vast sea, thinking about all the work you have to do when you get back. Or you can enjoy yourself at Old Man’s Café, located next to Batu Bolong Beach in Canggu, where there is a market the last Saturday of every month, soaking up the energy and vibrant atmosphere.
What can you find here? There is lots of interesting stuff, from shoes, clothing, including swimwear, jewellery and accessories from local designers to snacks and drinks. I had a fresh fruit popsicle with real slice of frozen kiwi inside and it was like heaven on the hot day. Then I tried some of the locally made wine, with original flavours such as strawberry and snake fruit. On the other corner was a couple from Europe selling handmade natural stone jewellery, and there was organic homemade jam, skincare products, plush toys, ceramic plates and much more.
