Located adjacent to the grand entrance and lobby of Padma Resort Legian is the Donbiu Restaurant the rebirth of Taman Ayu Café & Lounge. The design is reflective of the diverse artistic importance of its Sanskrit-originating meaning ‘banana leaves’ and their beautifully, craftily wide use in the daily ceremonial lives of the Balinese. Grandly adorned with a centerpiece of copper-based banana-leaf carvings by Hedi Harianto, an atmosphere of authentic Balinese luxury is enhanced with an impressive open-air design and serene garden surroundings.
The venue has capacity of 300 patrons in the main dining room, 60 in the pavilion, and 30 seats in the extensive deck lounge overlooking the beautiful Koi Pond, decorated with ‘Patung Ikan’ which means fish statue by Ketut Winata and ‘The Sleeping Leopard’ by Nyoman Nuarta.
Focusing on the consistent delivery of the highest quality Indonesian cuisine, Donbiu’s menu also offers a variety of International dishes from around the world.
Each morning from 06.30am–10.30am, guests are welcomed for a breakfast with an extensive and wide range of fresh fruit, pastries, juice, hot dishes, and a mixture of Asian and Western breakfast items. The culinary team also takes high pride in holding their weekly Balinese Buffet – featuring the famous Suckling Pig and scrumptious Balinese dishes, while live Balinese dancers gracefully provide guests entertainment during their dinner.
