Club Med Bintan

Club Med Bintan is an inclusive family resort that combines the most modern conveniences with Asian traditions, all set amidst the crystal-clear waters and tropical greenery of Bintan Island.

Part of Indonesia’s Riau Archipelago, Bintan Island is just a short boat ride from Singapore. In addition to its Dutch colonial architecture and rich history as a trade port, Bintan Island is also home to Club Med Bintan, a haven of tranquillity and refinement combining modernity with Asian tradition.

Club Med Bintan has 311 rooms divided between small three-storey buildings. The buildings are constructed in local style and are a showcase of exotic materials and craftwork. Club Med Bintan has Deluxe, Club and Suite Rooms, all offering views of the South Chine Sea, besides the perfect sunrises from Deluxe Rooms. Club Rooms offer fully equipped rooms with modern touches and wonderful garden views. Suite Rooms feature an elegant interior décor and magnificent views of the South China Sea.

While resting and relaxing at Club Med Bintan, drinking in the tropical scenery of one and half miles of pristine beach, guests can also savour the resort’s exquisite food and beverage offerings. The Waterfall, located on the second floor, offers a selection of international buffets. Guests on a diet or who have specific dietary requirements can order particular dishes, including some of the local dishes. This non-smoking restaurant has a children’s corner where parents can prepare meals for their kids.

The Terrace, an intimate restaurant situated on the water’s edge, is the ideal spot to drink in the beauty of the China Sea while relaxing over a leisurely meal. This restaurant welcomes guests for late breakfast, lunch or a bite after a round of golf. The Santai, The Bagus, The Panorama and The Matahari are the bars at Club Med Bintan. With a sophisticated interior, The Santai Bar is situated on the first floor, opposite the swimming pool. A cigar cellar service is available here. Or you can spend some time at The Matahari Bar. With its beach location this is the perfect spot to cool down after some water sports. The Matahari is only open in the evening.

Excursion programmes are the best way to discover the other side of Club Med Bintan and the culture and traditions of Bintan. Guests can take a one-hour elephant safari at Bintan Elephant Park. To experience the life of Bintan, take an eco-tour through a traditional village or go fishing with Discover Traditional Fishing Techniques. Other tours include Discover the Mangrove and visits to Tanjung Pinang and Tanjung Uban.
