Committed to the craft of the stay, Capella Hotels and Resorts are fast becoming recognised for offering meaningful hospitality experiences, which are curated for the curious mind. With this in mind, and as the season of goodwill approaches, the group is renewing their commitment to being social custodians of each destination, with several community-focused initiatives designed to help guests give back during the festive season.
This December, Capella Ubud, Bali has pledged to donate 1% of the revenue generated from all bookings that are made through its website from 1 – 31 December 2019 to Trash Hero Indonesia. Trash Hero Indonesia is a national chapter of Trash Hero World, a global voluntary movement that is made up of non-profit, community-based organisations with the mission to bring communities together to clean the environment. The movement aims to reduce waste through trash clean-ups, educational workshops on the environmental impact of trash, and long-term sustainable programmes that empower communities to better reduce and manage waste.
The proceeds from this month-long promotion will be utilised to support the Trash Hero Kids program, the Trash Hero Learning Center and the upcoming publication of the Trash Hero Kids Book, intended to educate the younger generation on waste management.
Capella Shanghai, Jian Ye Li
During the holiday season, Capella Shanghai, Jian Ye Li is embracing the spirit of community; throughout December, they will be working with World of Art Brut Culture, a local organisation that provides free art development courses for those with intellectual and mental disabilities.
Through this partnership, children from surrounding neighbourhoods will be invited to the property to create ornamental wish lists with their Christmas wishes written on them. These ornaments will be hung from the Capella Shanghai Christmas tree, and hotel guests will be invited to make donations to help make these wishes come true.
Capella Breidenbacher Hof, Düsseldorf
