Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort is pleased to announce Syaiful Bahri as the newly appointed Executive Chef. In his role, Chef Syaiful will lead daily food and beverage operations in all outlets, menu conceptualization and staff management while implementing new culinary programming and concepts in line with the latest industry trends. He will showcase his extensive knowledge of food preparation and pairing with the best quality ingredients to express his talent and passion in order to enhance the dining experience for all guests.
Hailing from Jakarta, and with a culinary career over 20 years, Chef Syaiful has discovered the richness of flavors from many different cultures of Indonesia and travelled the world to broaden his skills in the culinary world.
Chef Syaiful started his career with Marriott International in 2009 when he was appointed as Chef de Cuisine at Ritz Carlton Hotel Jakarta with his role as Senior Head Department. His passion for the cuisine led him to become Executive Chef at JW Marriott Medan and further as Executive Sous Chef at Sheraton Grand Gandaria (pre-opening team). Moving up the ladder, Chef Syaiful then continuing his journey as Executive Chef at Keraton at The Plaza, a Luxury Collection Hotel – Jakarta prior to his career at Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort – Lombok.
Delighted to join the dynamic team at Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort, Chef Syaiful says he finds it exhilarating to bring people together through food, by creating unique and memorable dining experiences for guests. Chef Syaiful will incorporate his creativity and passion for Indonesian flavors as well as International cuisine to further enhance Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort’s menu, adding his personal and sophisticated techniques to his culinary creations.
