In April Banyan Tree Ungasan dedicates its culinary calendar to the famed white asparagus with a special three or five course menu devised by Ju-Ma-Na’s famed Executive Sous Chef, Mandif Warroka.
White asparagus, with its ivory colour is elegant in look and exquisite in taste. Traditionally the white asparagus was considered as a luxury vegetable, which up until a few decades ago was as exclusive as caviar. This delicacy is a speciality on menus because of the short season between mid April and mid May when it becomes available.
